The Malaysian Persons With Disabilities Bill 2007 was tabled in Parliament by Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil for its first reading on the 10th of December 2007. A NATIONAL Council for Persons with Disabilities will be set up once this Bill is enforced.
